Our mission:

Connect people to their Creator on His set apart day.

Our vision:

To generate a movement where others want to share their Sabbath.

When you love someone, you are willing to do just about anything for them. Loving many things that they love comes naturally and it is easy do many things that they do. You do these things for the "love" of them. When you are in love, your friendship grows and at the same time, the depth of your relationship grows.  At Shabbat Date, we are very excited to help you connect or re-connect to Someone who loves you dearly. He is waiting for you! And we want to help you celebrate a very special date.

It is clear in God's Word, that the seventh day Sabbath is very special to your Creator. It is His day and it is very special or Holy. He made many things for you but this one is Holy and set apart. He wants to share this special time with you, to help you to be refreshed, and most importantly to connect with Him.

It is on this special day of the week that we at Shabbat Date want to help you. We want to provide you resources, stories, and equip you for a special time. We want you to have a special "date" with your Creator. On your date, you will get to know your Creator better and rejoice when you see His full love for you and your family.

13 If you turn back your foot from Shabbat,
from doing your pleasure on My holy day,
and call Shabbat a delight,
the holy day of Adonai honorable,
If you honor it, not going your own ways,
    not seeking your own pleasure,
    nor speaking your usual speech,
14 then You will delight yourself in Adonai,
and I will let you ride over the heights of the earth,
I will feed you with the heritage of your father Jacob.”

יְהוָה֙ [Isaiah 58]

When the sun has set on a Friday night
Bringing peace into your home
Families will gather all around singing, "Shabbat Shalom!"

Shalom!

Every day is a gift from God, so put a smile upon your face
He's got the whole world in His hands, so obey His commands
And you will know peace

What's in a logo?

Sometimes a logo can be very simple and use the theme of 'less is more'. But at other times, a logo can be more complex and provoke contemplative ideas similar to that of watching the clouds in the sky twist and turn into new animal shapes.  The Shabbat Date logo iconifies several deep thoughts about the seventh day sabbath, the Owner of the day and its ultimate path to the Tree of Life.

Three Stars [שלושה כוכבים]

If you look closely, you will see three stars.   What is the significance?   Before clocks, time pieces and iPhones, to determine the start of a new day, one would look to the evening sky at sunset and examine "three stars".  Seeing three stars in a night sky indicated that a new day arrived. For our purposes, the Sabbath starts at sunset on Friday night and it ends on Saturday sunset. For each Shabbat, as the sun begins to set and the sky turns a beautiful amber, look up at the stars, observe Adonai's beautiful celestial timepiece, and smile at the start of a new and joyful day!

Lion of Judah [אריה יהודה]

It is clear that Adonai entrusted the tribe of Judah to preserve and protect the Words of  God.

Romans 3:1What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? 2Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

At Shabbat Date, we give credit to those who have held dear the precious words of our Creator for all to hear, learn and understand. So how do we give credit to the tribe of Judah? We read His word to get our ideas.

Genesis 49:9A lion’s cub is Judah— from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He crouches, lies down like a lion, or like a lioness— who would rouse him? 10 The scepter will not pass from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs will come. To him will be the obedience of the peoples.

The lion signifies the tribe of Judah, but the powerful symbol has other meanings. For those who see their Salvation coming in great glory, the returning King is also identified as a majestic lion.

Revelation 5:5Then one of the elders tells me, “Stop weeping! Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed—He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals.”.

It is for these reasons and that you will see a strong and restful lion enjoying the sunset as he prepares for Shabbat.

Tree of Life [עץ החיים]

Over the lion's right shoulder he glances as a silhouetted tree. It is a very beautiful tree but not only because of its appearance on the horizon at sunset, but because this tree symbolizes life!

For those who honor Adonai's sabbaths (Seventh day and feasts), they will be like honored guests in His House and memorialized with a name better than sons and daughters. Adonai will richly bless those who are faithful to His appointed times, to His special date, His Shabbat Date.

Isaiah 56:3Do not let a son of a foreigner who has joined himself to Adonai[a] say, ‘Adonai will surely exclude me from His people.” Nor let the eunuch say, ‘Behold, I am a dry tree.’” 4 For thus says Adonai, “To the eunuchs who keep My Shabbatot, who choose what pleases Me, and hold fast My covenant: 5 I will give to them in My House and within My walls a memorial and a name[b] better than sons and daughters. I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off. 6 Also the foreigners who join themselves to Adonai, to minister to Him, and to love the Name of Adonai, and to be His servants— all who keep from profaning Shabbat, and hold fast to My covenant— 7 these I will bring to My holy mountain, and let them rejoice in My House of Prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar. For My House will be called a House of Prayer for all nations.”[c] 8 Adonai Elohim, who gathers the dispersed of Israel, declares, “I will gather still others to him, to those already gathered.”

The next time you glance at our logo, think about these amazing thoughts that will hopefully draw you closer in relationship to Adonai so that you may rejoice in His very special Shabbat Date. Shalom [שָׁלוֹם].
